Wedding invites are the first step to your wedding, as they are sent out in the initial stages of the wedding planning. But you cannot over spend or make mistakes here, because that could cause a lot of repercussions you probably wouldn’t see coming. You might want to show off all your grandeur in the cards, but if you use too many goodies then you will only unnecessarily increase your cost per card. So stick to a decent limit and make it count. Don’t use edible items that can melt and spoil the card in summers, you would be ruining your card with your own hands. Flowers may not be a good idea either, especially if they wilt very quickly.
After you finish designing the card the way you want it, check all the details thoroughly, even for misprints and spelling mistakes. Include tiny descriptions of each event, if you have NRI friends or foreign guests who are not familiar to Indian weddings. Also mention the theme clearly if you have one, so that no one will feel out of place with their attire. It is a good idea to get extra invitations done in the beginning itself, so that you don’t panic in the last moment. Whatever comes, your cards should be ready and sent with ample time for the guests to reschedule their work and make arrangements for attending the wedding.
